Chiang Rai - Huay Xai – Pakbeng

• Activities:

Today will start by transferring to the border town of Huay Xay. The Luang Say Cruise boat leaves the pier at 09:00 and set sail downwards to Pakbeng. Observe the rural life along the Mekong River and go to visit some ethnic groups. Enjoy a buffet for lunch on board. Arrive at Pakbeng in the late afternoon and check in at Luang Say Lodge. Have dinner on the terrace. Stay overnight in Pakbeng.

Pakbeng – Pak Ou Caves – Luang Prabang

Have breakfast at lodge. Tourists can tour the Pakbeng market if they want. Return the boat at 8:30 to take a short cruise discovering a Hmong village. Lunch will be served on board. Cruise down the Nam Ou River to reach Pak-Ou village and visit Pak Ou Caves. Make a brief stop to see the traditional process of manufacturing local rice alcohol. Head to Luang Prabang and transfer to the hotel before sunset. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Luang Prabang – Half day city walking tour

  Visit Royal Palace Museum, have a walking tour, explore hidden secrets, stop at Wat Chomkhong, pass by Fine Arts School, tour Wat Xiengthong

In the morning, we will go to the Royal Palace Museum and see many interesting artefacts. Then make a walking tour to discover some hidden secrets and head to Wat Xiengthong. Stop at Wat Chomkhong to admire its decorative carvings. We also come to see the Fine Arts School with many quality artworks. our final destination is Wat Xieng Thong. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Luang Prabang – Hmong Experience and Kuang Si Waterfall

Get into a private drive and leave Luang Prabang. Have sightseeing of rural landscapes along the way. Visit Ban Longlao – a Hmong village to learn more about their culture and customs. Trek towards the tropical forest and reach the Kuang Si Waterfall. Take time for relaxation, swimming or climbing. Then return to Luang Prabang. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Luang Prabang – Vientiane - Half day city tour

Transfer to Vientiane by plane. On arriving, check in the hotel and enjoy lunch. Then we will start explore the capital by going to some major sights such as the ancient temples Wat Sisaket and Wat Prakeo. Come to national heritage of That Luang Stupa and the imposing Patuxay Monument. Day ends with a visit to the COPE exhibition centre. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Vientiane – Pakse – Vat Phou Cruise

Depart Vientiane for your early flight to Pakse at 6:30 am. On arrival you will be transferred to the Vat Phou Cruise leaving Pakse for Champassak at 10:00am. We will head south and reach Champassak in time for a riverside lunch. Then enjoy a guided tour of the mysterious pre-Angkorian 10th century temple of Wat Phou. In the late afternoon, enjoy the sunset while have dinner served on board. The boat docks for the night alongside a remote Laotian village. Overnight on board.

Vat Phou Cruise (Huei Thamo - Oum Moung Temple - Khong Island)

  Sail for Huei Thamo village, visit Oum Moung temple, head to Si Phan Don, come Ban Dua Tae village, observe village life

After having breakfast, we navigate to the village of Huei Thamo, only a few minutes walk away from the forest temple of Oum Moung. Back to the boat for a leisurely cruise and enjoy lunch on the deck, continuing head to the south for the “4,000 islands” region. Arrive at Ban Dua Tae in the afternoon and see the traditional village life. Tourists also have chance to see the daily activities of the inhabitants. Have a quiet dinner in the evening then rest on board.

Vat Phou Cruise (Veuthong - the “Niagara of the East - Xieng Di) – Pakse

  Cruise to Ban Veuthong, head to Khong Island, visit Khone Phapeng waterfall, back to Pakse

Enjoy breakfast during the cruise towards Ban Veuthong village. Get into a longtail boat to go to Khong Island. After that, back to the mainland and explore some highlights. Transfer by minivan to Khone Phapeng waterfall which is close to the Cambodian border. Return to Pakse and have rest. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
