Arrival – Luang Prabang

On arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel. Then get tickets to attend a royal ballet performance at Royal Palace in the evening. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Luang Prabang – City tour and Baci Ceremony

  Visit Royal Palace Museum, have a walking tour, explore Wat Xiengthong, Wat Mai and Wat Sene, tour Yensabai, visit Arts and Ethnology Centre, climb up Mt Phousi, take part in Baci Ceremony

After breakfast, we will start our departure by visiting the Royal Palace Museum where placed many artefacts. Have a walking tour for the most beautiful temples. This may include the magnificent Wat Xiengthong, as well as Wat Mai and Wat Sene, the oldest temple in Luang Prabang. In the afternoon we drop by Yensabai that hosts some traditional stencils made with Saa paper. The next stop will be the Arts and Ethnology Centre. You will gain a further insight into the ethnic mix and culture of Laos. Climb up Mt Phousi and have a view of the spectacular sunset as well as a panoramic view over Luang Prabang and Mekong River. In the evening, we will head to a local village where you can take part in their traditional Baci Ceremony. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Luang Prabang – Ock Pop Tok – Silkworms and Natural dyes

  Have free time, explore Luang Prabang, transfer to Ock Pop Tok, join a weaving class, meet weavers, see weaving techniques, enjoy beverages, view the sunset

This morning you have free time to explore yourself the city of Luang Prabang, or simply relax. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Ock Pop Tok weaving center for a unique silk and natural dyes class. You will learn about the lives of worms, the silk workers in Laos and a lot of strange events related to sericulture. You can prepare mulberry leaves for the worms and try dyeing a silk product. In the late afternoon you are introduced to textile techniques and have the opportunity to test your skills in weaving and spinning. Day ends with cocktails and canapés overlooking the sunset on Mekong River. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Luang Prabang – Cooking Class at Roots and Leaves

  Join a cooking class, visit a local market, cook Lao foods, have leisure time

This morning is the chance for you to learn cooking the local cuisines. Pay a visit to a local market and grab different types of ingredients. Then you will be taught about Laos culinary. Tourists may enjoy lunch cooked on your own. Then enjoy leisure time in the afternoon. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Luang Prabang – Departure
